Data Collection Plans
The data collection plan will involve using questionnaires and online surveys. According to Yu and Qian (2018), questionnaires are essential since they enable the project team to evaluate the implemented project’s viability. As the project continues, the project team and other healthcare stakeholders will need to complete the closed and open-ended questionnaires every two weeks to ensure that the project team will evaluate various factors that require improvement and prevent instances that may delay the project. Also, after the project completion, nurses and midwives must complete a questionnaire assessing their attitudes toward the new implementation of protocols and guidelines for maintaining and enhancing well-stocked emergency carts in the labour and delivery unit (Yu & Qian, 2018)The Basic Project Plan Assignment Paper. Patients are the most important stakeholders in any project since a project can improve or deteriorate their well-being. In that case, online and physical surveys using suggestion boxes will help identify if the newly implemented project benefits the target patient population.
The main reason questionnaires are effective in evaluating the project’s effectiveness is that the questionnaires are easier and cheap to administer compared to other data collection methods like interviews. Also, questionnaires will help the project team evaluate the project’s reliability and validity by assessing the answers provided by the respondents. Due to the questionnaire’s flexibility, the project team will manage to collect data from a large audience group, thus providing more data for comparison. However, the project team’s main risks are dishonest answers and unanswered questions through questionnaire administration. Hence, the research team will need to assess various possibilities like language barrier as one of the issues that may lead the team not to get the desired results. The main advantage of surveys is that they are flexible for the targeted group (Siedlecki, 2020)The Basic Project Plan Assignment Paper. However, the main risk includes the targeted population failing to respond. Hence, there will be a need to conduct awareness on the need to respond to the surveys.
One Constraint and One Dependency for the Project
The main project constraint is the time since the project team has to ensure that it meets all its set deadlines to enable effective project transition from one task to another. According to Slootmans (2018), the project team should evaluate the most pressing and easier tasks to evaluate how they can effectively manoeuvre through them. On the other hand, the main project dependency is project team cooperation. According to Carmack et al. (2020), the project team fails to cooperate due to various issues. Hence, those team members assigned to oversee the project communication should ensure that they will allocate regular project team meetings. Through such meetings, it becomes easier for the project manager to acknowledge the issues affecting the project team and formulate effective strategies to curb them The Basic Project Plan Assignment Paper.
