The main interventions to address the Major Depressive Disorder diagnosis and treatment will focus first on microsystems. According to Blackstone et al. (2022), one of the best improvement processes that medical groups and health plans need to incorporate in any project is the correlation of different microsystems. It has been utilized in hundreds of population-based and clinical studies, integrated into multiple depression guidelines, and implemented in numerous clinical practice settings. After installation from week four to week eight the project team will evaluate a pilot study on the effectiveness of the PHQ-9 tool and identify the gaps that need to be addressed using the plan-do-study-act model (Sun et al., 2020). Full implementation will take place in weeks 9 to 11, where the project team will ensure that the whole process is effective and that the healthcare facility can use PHQ-9 to achieve the desired outcomes in preventing Major Depressive Disorder among the target population.
