The Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) has two openings for a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA). Their HR department has hired our Nurse recruitment firm to fill both positions. The goal is to have the positions filled within 2 months.

Nurse Anesthetist – CRNA

Job Summary

The CRNA provides comprehensive anesthesia care (general anesthesia, procedure-related sedation, and regional techniques) in collaboration with the supervising anesthesiologist who is directly available during the entire course of anesthesia at all LLUMC and LLUMC affiliated sites. Certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) Job Analysis.

Job Description

– Communicate effectively with anesthesiologist to ensure course of anesthesia is adjusted based on the patient’s need and changing condition throughout anesthetic episode

– apply theoretical concepts to clinical practice and continually expand knowledge base and clinical skills with a focus in anesthesia care

– Utilize discretion and independent judgement in delivery of whole-person care

– Practice within the CRNA scope and follows LLUMC protocols, techniques, guidelines, and state/federal regulations

– Perform other duties as needed

– Ability to read and write legibly with professional quality; use computer and software programs necessary to the position; troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment

– Ability to communicate; be assertive and consistent in following and enforcing policies; work calmly and respond courteously under pressure, lead, supervise, teach and collaborate

Job Specifications

– Completion of a Registered Nursing (RN) program

– Graduate from a Board of Registered Nursing approved American Association of Nurse Anesthetist Program

– Clinical experience providing anesthesia care as a CRNA student nurse anesthetist within the last twelve months

– Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license

– Active California Registered Nurse Certification

– Active BLS Basic Life Support certification

– Active ALS Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification

– Active PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
